Call to Action

Life is a precious, but fleeting gift. Urgent change is needed for our own sake and that of all other things currently living on Earth. These are some of the conclusions people take from the perspective that this project gives.

My call to action is simple: take action – NOW! Whatever you feel is right for you and within your power, do it without delay. Our imagination is the only limit.

Let’s hear from Gandalf again: “I have found that it is the small everyday deed of ordinary folks that keep the darkness at bay. Small acts of kindness and love.” (J. R. R. Tolkien ~ The Hobbit)”

It’s never been more urgent to be the change we want to see in the world.

My actions: using my spare time and cash to develop this project that I hope you will find stimulating. (In addition to ensuring that my day job is aligned with my values.) My aim is to be a catalyst helping others make the changes they feel are right. Please make use of this project. It’s free.

Use the A3 poster of Life of Earth in a Year to get discussions going in your community, workplace or school. On the second page there are charts zooming in on the hours, minutes and seconds before and after where we are right now on this scale.

I’ll close with the reference to the late great advocate and humanitarian Wangari Maathai, with her wonderful fable of the humming bird doing the best it can, while other bigger, stronger animals look on, criticise and do nothing themselves.

Feel free to share your actions below.

  1. Very interesting project that puts things into perspective in a creative and positive way. Our planet is not eternal and neither are we. Thank you for this awareness!
